Abstract

The rule of law gave rise to a lively debate in Italy between the 1930s and 1940s. This essay reconstructs the opinions of some of its protagonists starting from a book published in 1942 by a philosopher of law, Flavio Lopez de Oñate, in a complicated phase of Italian history, between the crisis of fascism and the coming of a new age.
